LIGHT Community

LIGHT Community is a ministry created to support Christian Foster Carers, Kinship Carers, and their families. Our heart is to provide safe, welcoming spaces where these families can connect with one another, be encouraged in their journey, and strengthened in their faith.

Caring for vulnerable children is a beautiful yet challenging calling. At LIGHT, we aim to walk alongside carers in both practical and spiritual ways, offering encouragement, prayer, and a listening ear.

 

Our community meets regularly for a relaxed Saturday morning tea once each month, a time to share life, swap stories, and simply be known.

​

​We also host monthly dessert nights for mums and dinners for dads, providing space for deeper conversation, laughter, and mutual support. These gatherings have been a lifeline for many who often feel isolated in their care roles.
